Boys golf: CdM leads Aliso

LAGUNA NIGUEL - Corona del Mar High junior John Kwon sank a 25-foot

putt on the final hole Tuesday to give the Sea Kings a 207-208 lead in

the first half of an 18-hole nonleague boys golf match with host Aliso

Niguel at El Niguel Country Club.

CdM senior Innes MacDonald earned medalist honors with 39, 3-over par.

Other CdM scores were: Chris Franta and Kwon (40), Joe Kwon (42) and

Manuel Fernandez (46).

The second half of the match is scheduled March 15 at Newport Beach

Country Club.

The CdM junior varsity earned a 209-219 lead over the Wolverines.
