Football: Smith joins OCC staff

COSTA MESA - Former Los Angeles Rams center Doug Smith will join

the Orange Coast College football coaching staff as an offensive line

coach, according to Coach Mike Taylor.

“We’re real excited to have him,” Taylor said of his new part-time

assistant. “He’ll give a real boost to the offensive line. He’s got a ton

of professional experience and he’s just a real class guy.”

Smith played 14 seasons for the Rams as a center and was a six-time

all-pro.

Before coming to OCC, Smith was an assistant at USC under Coach John

Robinson before spending a year with Saddleback last season.
