Pier Pressure ends tourney play with pair of victories

Having already clinched a spot in the upcoming AYSO Section

tournament, Pier Pressure, a Region 56 girls Under-12 All-Star soccer

team, concluded Area 11-K play with a pair of weekend victories to finish

tournament play unbeaten.

Pier Pressure handed Region 117 (Huntington Beach) a 3-1 defeat, then

shaded Region 517 (Santa Ana) by a 1-0 score. The two wins gave the

All-Star squad a 10-0 tournament mark, and Pier Pressure dominated its 10

opponents, outscoring them, 32-2.

Lauren Ardis, Brooke Bashore, Carley Bonchonsky, Lauren Brancky,

Alexandra Dunn, Mary Horstmann, Kelly Hyder, Jessica Jordan, Chelsea

Kaplan, Courtney Lynn, Candace Mecklenburg, Keely Miller, Jesse Miner,

Alexia Roehr, and coaches Rick Bashore, Rick Horstmann, and Jeff Hyder

comprise Pier Pressure, which will participate at the AYSO Section 11

Tournament March 11 at UC Irvine.
