Boys tennis: Sailors double up Costa Mesa

NEWPORT BEACH - Nick Kuhle swept in singles and the team of Ryan

Curry and Colin Duncan swept in doubles to lead Newport Harbor High’s

boys tennis team to a 12-6 nonleague win over visiting Costa Mesa

Wednesday.

Kuhle won, 6-1, 7-6, 6-1, while Curry and Duncan prevailed, 7-5, 6-0,

6-1.

It was the season opener for the Sailors, while Costa Mesa falls to 0-2.

Newport will travel to Irvine to take on Northwood Wednesday at 3:15 p.m.
