Boys golf: Costa Mesa skins Calvary Chapel

COSTA MESA - Jeff Montoya shot a combined 3-under 68 to lead Costa

Mesa High’s boys golf team to a 395-462 win over Calvary Chapel Thursday

Thursday’s final nine holes were played at Costa Mesa Golf and Country

Club’s Mesa Linda Course, par 35 while the first nine holes were played

Wednesday at Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course, par 36.

Lou Carrasco (37-38), Bryce Sharidan (39-40), Joakim Rising (41-40) and

Nue Kahele (92 combined) round out the Mustangs’ scoring.

Costa Mesa (1-0) will continue nonleague play Monday against El Modina at

Green River Golf Course.
