Men’s tennis: Pirates blank Cypress

CYPRESS - Marcel Brouwer and Shakti Chemitiganti each won all 20

games played, leading the Orange Coast College men’s tennis team to a 9-0

win over host Cypress in Orange Empire Conference action.

Brouwer and Chemitiganti each won, 6-0, 6-0, in singles play, then teamed

up to win, 8-0, in doubles competition.

The Pirates will travel to San Diego to take on San Diego Mesa Tuesday at

2 p.m. in nonconference action before resuming OEC play at home against

Saddleback on Thursday at 2 p.m.
