Swimming: Dubber leads Pirates at Mt. SAC Invitational

WALNUT - Steve Dubber was a top-10 swimmer in two different events

for the Orange Coast College swim teams Saturday at the Mt. San Antonio

College Invitational.

Dubber took fourth place in the 50-yard freestyle with a 22.42 and ninth

in the 100 backstroke at 59.21.

Other top-10 finishes for the Pirates include Geraldo Ferrera, who took

seventh in the 500 freestyle (5:05.46) and the Pirates’ 200 freestyle

relay team, who came in fifth at 1:33.91.

On the women’s side, Kristen Day was eighth in the 50 backstroke (31.88),

while Ellen Dolan took eighth in the 100 individual medley (1:09.20).
