The Newport-Mesa Unified School District is accepting applications for

five vacancies on its 14-member audit committee.

The duties of committee members include interacting with district

auditors throughout the annual auditing process, participating in the

preparation of the audit report to the Board of Education, and evaluating

the entire process.

The committee usually meets on the third Monday of each month. Three of

the five vacancies are for specific school attendance zones. Applicants

for these positions must reside in Corona del Mar, Costa Mesa or Estancia

attendance zones.

The other two positions are alternative positions requiring only that

applicants reside within the Newport-Mesa school district. Anyone
