Track and field: Youth clinics available

NEWPORT BEACH - Free clinics designed to help youngsters registered

for the Youth Track and Field Championship 2000 to prepare for their

events, will begin the week of March 13 at local elementary schools.

These clinics will continue through the week of April 12 with the

competition set for April 14 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Newport Harbor

High.

The event is open for youngsters born between 1985-1993 who wish to compete on a fun, recreational level.

The pre-registration fee is $10 for Newport Beach residents and $13

for non-residents. Day of event registration is $15 for Newport residents

and $18 for non-residents.

Mariners School - Wednesdays, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
