Four Barons earn All-CIF honors

Kyle Polak, John Clark, Drew Tolman, and Cliff McKinley, all

members of Fountain Valley High’s boys soccer team that won the 2000

Sunset League championship, were named Friday to the CIF Southern Section

Division I team, the school announced.

Polak and Tolman both are sophomores, and both Clark and McKinley are

seniors.

The foursome helped guide Fountain Valley to a 7-2-1 league record and

into the Division I semifinal round. The Barons, who finished the season

with an overall record of 19-3-3, were ranked third in the division

throughout the season.

The All-Sunset League boys soccer team also was announced Friday, with

Polak being named Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

Tolman, Clark, and McKinley joined fellow Barons Chris Wimmer, Jon

Armour, Aaron Siemers (all three seniors), and junior Andrew Hong on the

all-league team.
