We asked residents at Triangle Square in Costa Mesa:

What do you think about same-sex marriages?

1.

“I don’t think marriage between gay people should be illegal. Why should

we tell two other people what they have to do? It is prejudice.”

MARC SANFORD

Costa Mesa

2.

“I am a Christian and I believe we should keep marriage between a man and

a woman. To each his own, but gay marriages should not be legal.”

LARRY ALTMAN

Huntington Beach

3.

“I don’t see anything wrong with same-sex marriage. I don’t see how

people can logically forbid it. If two people are in love, then there

should be no limitations. Church and state should be entirely separate.”

RANDI PEREZ

Fountain Valley

4.

“I feel that love is between two people, and if they want to share that

bond with marriage, then that is their business. Gay couples should also

be able to adopt children -- and having a marriage license will make it

easier.”

TRACY HOGAN

Costa Mesa

5.

“I am a Christian and according to God, marriage should be between a man

and a woman. If gays and lesbians want to have a contractual agreement,

they should be able to do that. But it should not be elevated to the

status of marriage.”
