Rockies win opener

Kyle Boswell and Jake Burke pieced together consecutive doubles in

the fifth inning to complete a comeback from four runs down by the

Rockies, who went on to post a 6-5 victory over the Royals in their 2000

debut in Minor A Division play at Seaview Little League.

The Royals (1-1) had a four-run lead through three innings, but the

Rockies staged a four-run rally in the fourth inning to tie the score.

Nick Duchene went 3 for 3 to help spark the Rockies’ comeback.

Mariners 24, Angels 4

Aaron Amaral collected two hits and four RBI, and also notched the

pitching victory by striking out eight in a complete game performance for

the Mariners, who improved to 2-0.

Yankees 7, Dodgers 5

Cam Harlin tripled with two RBI in the third inning to rally the Yankees

(1-1), and Brian Griffin went 2 for 2 to lead the Dodgers (0-2).

MINOR B DIVISION

Angels 11, Marlins 7

The Angels’ Asa Dufour singled twice and scored twice and Kyle Ball,

Garrett Nuzzo, and Keaton Celinder each tripled for the winners, now 2-0.

Yankees 11, Red Sox 10

Philip Serrano had two hits to lead the Yankees (1-1), who scored three

runs in the sixth inning to pull out the victory; Nick Locey and Nick

Jezulin each doubled for the Red Sox (0-2).
