Baseball: CdM gives one away

GARDEN GROVE - Despite a complete-game four-hitter tossed by

pitcher Dave Knecht, Corona del Mar High’s baseball team let one slip

away, losing to host Bolsa Grande, 4-3, in eight innings Monday in

nonleague action.

Knecht struck out three while walking only two.

Sophomore Billy Eagle was 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored for CdM

(3-4).

The Sea Kings will take on Estancia on the road Friday at 3:15 p.m. in

Pacific Coast League action.
