COSTA MESA - Two first-inning errors by Estancia High’s baseball

team proved costly in a 5-3 Pacific Coast League loss to visiting Laguna

Beach Tuesday.

Following the Eagles’ two defensive miscues, Kirk Ziegler hit a grand

slam off of hard-luck starter C.K. Green, who only allowed one earned run

with six strikeouts in a complete-game effort.

Armando Ortiz went 2 for 4 with two runs scored for the Eagles (2-5,

0-2).

Estancia will host Corona del Mar Friday at 3:15 p.m.
