NBLL AA - Diamondbacks outlast Mariners

NEWPORT BEACH - Aaron Ettl, Mickey Miela and Bryan Yasukochi teamed

up to stop a late Mariners rally as the Diamondbacks held on for a 12-9

win in Newport Beach Little League AA Division action.

The D-Backs jumped out to a 12-0 lead thanks to the offensive outbursts

of Kendall Pick, who had a triple and home run and the two runs scored by

Ettl, Yasukochi and Anna Palchikoff.

The Mariners’ Comeback was led by Danny Baker, Sam French and Guy

Sutherland, who each collected hits and scored numerous runs.

In other AA action:

Diamondbacks 12, Yankees 7 - Matt Morris tripled in three runs, scored

two runs and pitched two strong innings as the Diamondbacks knocked off

the Yankees, 12-7.

Bryan Yasukochi had two hits, while Kendall Pick added a towering home

run for the D-Backs.

David Guibord and Andrew Holladay each had a hit and scored a run to lead

the Yankees.

Cardinals 15, Dodgers 2 - Michael Bloom had two doubles and scored four

runs to lead the Cards to a 15-2 win over the Dodgers.

Connor Bannon and Randall Nelson combined to shut down the Dodgers’

offense.

Cardinals 7, Angels 6 - The Cardinals scored two runs in the bottom of

the last inning to defeat the Angels, 7-6.

Michael Bloom had two hits and a run scored in the win.

Cardinals 17, Yankees 1 - Connor Bannon had three hits and three runs

scored as the Cardinals walloped the Yankees, 17-1.

Ryan Akibe chipped in with two hits and a run scored and also played

solid at second base for the Cards.
