Boys swimming: Eagles lapped by Laguna Beach

COSTA MESA - Estancia High’s boys swim team fell to visiting Laguna

Beach, 92-71, Wednesday in Pacific Coast League action.

David Collier and Jess Helmich were the lone winners for the Eagles (4-3,

1-1 in league).

Collier was victorious in the 200-meter individual medley (2:28.63),

while Hellmich took the top spot in the 100 backstroke (1:11.07) for

Estancia (4-3, 1-1 in league).

Collier, along with Brian Monette, Frank Gamboa and Phil Westfall took

first in the 400 medley relay at 3:51.22.

The Eagles will host Magnolia on Friday beginning at 3 p.m.
