Prep softball: Estancia splits with Cavaliers
GARDEN GROVE - The Estancia High softball team won a wild 7-5
decision over host Santiago Saturday in the second game of a nonleague
doubleheader.
The Eagles (3-7) took a 5-3 lead in the seventh inning as Stephanie
Cachola scored.
The Cavaliers tied the game, but Estancia scored twice in the ninth
inning for the win.Estancia senior Lauren Cassity went 2 for 5 with a
home run in the first game, won by the Cavaliers, 10-3.
Cachola and Gaby Acosta each scored three runs for the Eagles. Pitcher
Deborah Wyman picked up the second-game victory.
