Boys golf: CdM rolls past Mesa

NEWPORT BEACH - The top five Corona del Mar High boys golfers

finished within three strokes of one another to produce a convincing

194-224 Pacific Coast League win over visiting Costa Mesa Tuesday at the

Newport Beach Country Club.

Innes MacDonald, John Kwon and Michael Yu all shot three-over 38 and

Chris Franta and Manuel Fernandez shot 39 and 41, respectively, to pace

the winners, who carded their lowest nine-hole team score of the season.

Costa Mesa senior Jeff Montoya was medalist (36), followed by teammates

Lou Carracso (40), Joakim Rising (46), Bryce Sheridan (47), and Billy

Lund (55).

CdM improved to 8-4, 4-1 in league.
