College softball: Vanguard gets swept

COSTA MESA - Vanguard University’s softball team lost twice to

Golden State Athletic Conference rival Concordia Tuesday, 2-0 and 7-1.

The Lions are 18-23, 5-11 in conference. Andrea Saucedo had two of

Vanguard’s three hits.

The Eagles (18-21, 7-11) won the second game, 7-1, courtesy of 16

singles. Val Vanaken drove in Saucedo with a double for the Lions’ only

run.
