Cardinals handle first-place Brewers, 10-7
Despite being outhit by an 11-6 count, the Cardinals took advantage
of 10 errors by the Brewers to score a 10-7 victory over the Majors
Division’s first-place team Saturday at Robinwood Little League.
Erik Koon had two hits to lead the Cardinals offense.
For the Brewers, Daniel Jones homered among three hits, Scott Schauer hit
a home run and double, and Casey Bedker and Jaime Swain each had two
hits.

Braves 9, Mets 1
Todd Locken opened up the game’s scoring during a four-run first inning
explosion by the Braves, who cruised to the victory. Brian Komswiet and
Kevin Radle each had RBI hits during the inning, and in the fifth inning,
Stephen Powers cleared loaded bases with a three-RBI double. Locken also
pitched three innings, surrendering just one hit.
Jason Getler singled and later scored on an error in the sixth inning to
account for the lone Mets run.
Dodgers 21, Yankees 10
Josh Van Note and Jonathan Akstinas each hit two doubles and a single,
Johnny Kustura and Garrett Kaplan both doubled and singled, Chad Wojno
singled three times, and Chris Hardwick singled twice during the Dodgers’
potent offensive attack.
Chris Gorham delivered three doubles, Ryan Gonzales had three singles,
and Gray Bailey singled twice to lead the Yankees.
