Boys volleyball: Sea Kings hammer Eagles

COSTA MESA - Corona del Mar High’s boys volleyball team had little

trouble defeating host Estancia, 15-0, 15-5, 15-4, Wednesday night in

Pacific Coast League action.

Greg Stampley had eight kills to lead CdM (5-1), while Kevin (six), Chris

Shepardson (five) and Charlie Alshuler (four) also paced the attack.

Evan Burden aided the offense with 17 assists.

The Sea Kings, ranked No. 4 in CIF Southern Section Division I, will

travel to Irvine to take on University on Friday, before their Division I

finals’ rematch with Newport Harbor at home on Saturday. Both matches

begin at 6 p.m.
