Case’s two-RBI triple lifts Devil Rays

Jared Case smacked a two-run triple in the bottom of the sixth

inning to cap a late rally that lifted the Devil Rays to a 9-8 victory

over the Angels in Fountain Valley Little League Minor A Division play

Friday at Mile Square Park.

The Halos had led, 8-5, heading into the bottom of the sixth. But the

Devil Rays rally began when Kevin Smisko delivered a two-RBI single.

Other hitting leaders for the winners included Jake Hyland with two hits

and Jeff Dang with a double.

The Angels, meanwhile, were led by Doug Frenchak with an RBI triple and

single, Trevin Sofferman with a triple and RBI single, Christopher

Flowers with an RBI double, and Mitchell Tezak with an RBI.

Dodgers 13, Yankees 6

The Dodgers used a seven run fifth inning to blow open a tie ballgame.

Jordan Weber singled and tripled, Daisuke Nishikawa singled twice, and

Farzan Namvari doubled to lead the Dodgers.

Geoff Feltman singled twice to pace the Yankees.

Mets 14, Diamondbacks 9

Andrew Stadnick singled twice, doubled, and scored three runs and

teammate Michael Kang doubled twice with an RBI to power the Meats, who

pulled away with a seven run fourth inning.

Jordan Fernandez hit a bases loaded triple, Trevor Calhoun had an RBI

double, Sara Mitchell had a double and RBI, and Marcelino Romero added an

RBI single for the Diamondbacks.
