White Sox blank Diamondbacks

John Pollock served double duty Friday by going 2 for 4 at the

plate and pitched a complete-game victory as the White Sox scored a 5-0

victory over the Diamondbacks in Huntington Valley Little League Majors

Division action at Inspiration Field.

Pollock was one of four key hitters for the White Sox as Donald Green hit

a two-run double, Trevor Rock went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Zach Porter had

an RBI single, and Shawn Eley went 2 for 4 with a double.

The Diamondbacks got six hits off Pollock, with Andy Scott-Webster

leading the way at 2 for 3.

In other Majors Division play:

Rangers 6, A’s 5

Mike Rhoads had a single and two RBI, Cody Steiner went 2 for 3, Robbie

Adolph added an RBI single, and Matt Bottorff had a pair of hits and an

RBI for the Rangers.

Andy Leeser went 3 for 3, Jordan Marquette had two hits and an RBI, and

both Shea Spear and Curtis Crandell had an RBI to lead the A’s.

Angels 9, Mariners 8

Ricky Pineda powered the Angels to victory by going 3 for 3 with a double

and two RBI. Teammate Joe Byers doubled among two hits, Garrett Hazelwood

went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Michael Hensley had an RBI single, Nick Feldman

tripled, and Damion Loukas doubled during a potent Angels attack.

For the Mariners, Lucas Aumiller, Nate Hill, and Scott Lindeman led the

way: Aumiller went 3 for 4 with a double and triple, Hill went 3 for 4,

and Lindeman went 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles.
