Fountain Valley police arrested an Anaheim man Monday on felony charges
of child molestation and lewd conduct.
Thomas Lockerby, 38, is suspected of molesting an 8-year-old girl from
Fountain Valley on Sunday. Police said the girl was visiting a friend in
the city when Lockerby, an acquaintance of the friend’s family, allegedly
molested the girl while giving her a ride to another location.
The incident is under investigation, police said.
If Lockerby is convicted, he could to serve 25 years to life in prison.
Lockerby has been booked in Orange County Jail with a bail set at
$50,000.
Huntington man dies in crash
A Huntington Beach man died in a Fountain Valley car collision Saturday
night.
Robert Joseph Sanchez, 38, was driving northbound on Brookhurst Street at
Ellis Avenue when another car going southbound on Brookhurst tried to
make a left turn onto Ellis, and the cars collided, police said. Sanchez
died after being rushed to a local hospital.
The cause of death has not yet been determined, said Sgt. Jim Perry,
spokesman for the Fountain Valley Police Department.The traffic bureau is
investigating the accident. No arrests or citations have been issued,
authorities said.
