Lions take care of Hope International

COSTA MESA - Val Vanaken went 2 for 3 with two RBIs to lead the

Vanguard University softball team to a 4-1 Golden State Athletic

Conference win over visiting Hope International University in first game

of Saturday’s doubleheader.

Nikki Benning was 2 for 2 with a triple and two runs scored to add to the

Lions’ success.

Alysia Atchley allowed only one run on five hits for the Lions (21-27,

8-13 in conference).
