Boys gymnastics: Locals do well at championship

BAKERSFIELD - Local gymnasts from the New Hope Academy of

Gymnastics, coached by Eduard Azarian, did well in completing their

season on April 9 at the Regional One Boys Gymnastics Championship at Cal

State Bakersfield.

Costa Mesa’s Donothan Bailey, who won a gold medal in every Class 5 event

in the South Coast Conference finals, stood out with marks of 53.95 in

the all-around, with a 9.4 in the parallel bars, 9.55 in the vault and

9.15 in the rings.His all-around score was 55.35.

Fellow club member Jimmy Kerry had the best all-around score in Class 5

with a 56.425. Jordan White had the best Class 4 score with a 48.075.

Tyson Seneca and Joe Troung were named to All-star Team. Anthony

Raezynski won the vault (9.55).
