Softball: CdM beats Laguna Beach, 5-4

LAGUNA BEACH - Corona del Mar High’s softball team defeated host

Laguna Beach, 5-4, Thursday and is one game behind second-place Costa

Mesa in the Pacific Coast League.

Alissa Zoelle, who pitched a complete game for CdM (6-8, 3-3 in league),

went 2 for 4 with three RBIs. With the game tied, 3-3, in the sixth,

Meaghan Bunney hit a two-run double to give the Sea Kings the lead.

Laguna Beach falls to 7-11 and 1-5 in league.
