Newport’s best rummage sale will run Wednesday through Friday at St.

Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. The 35th annual sale starts with a preview

sale from 3 to 6 p.m for a $3 donation. On Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7

p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be free admission.

There is a fabulous selection and great prices on clothing, toys, baby

items, shoes, sporting goods, electronics, jewelry, linens, housewares,

furniture, tools, art, books and treasures of all kinds. “Those familiar

with the sale know it to be one of the best in the area,” says Karen

It’s not too late to sign up for the 30th annual March of Dimes

WalkAmerica event. It starts at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at Fashion Island in

Newport Beach. WalkAmerica 2000 helps raise funds to save babies and

improve their health. The 5 1/2-mile walk starts at Fashion Island and

includes food, fun and festivities. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. The

March of Dimes asks for a minimum donation of $25 to participate in the

walk. Sponsors includes Fletcher Jones Motorcars, Ralphs, Disneyland,

OCN, AT&T;, OC Family and OC Metro Magazine.

The DUX store at Fashion Island in Newport Beach is giving a $500 gift
