The Angels stormed to an early lead Wednesday and used that fast

start to produce an 8-5 victory over the Yankees in Minor A Division play

at Seaview Little League.

A five run first inning gave the Angels the cushion they would need.

Robert McCarty began the outburst with a lead-off single, which was

followed up by hits from Matt Seymour, Robbie Coutts, Bree Williston, and

Alex Johnson.

Seymour and Williston both finished the game 2 for 2 with a walk.

The Yankees began to climb back into contention in the third winning,

with doubles by Anthony Paterno and Ian Gould igniting the comeback. Cam

Harlin produced an RBI single, and Peter Ruggerio and Kyle Campana each

singled.

Harlin went 2 for 2 overall to lead the Yankees.

two-hit performance, with nine strikeouts.
