CMALL Machine pitch: Yankees edge Devil Rays

COSTA MESA - With a strong defensive play from Kyle Peterson in the

last inning, the Yankees held off the Devil Rays, 10-9, in Costa Mesa

American Little League, Machine-pitch Division action.

Peterson made a pinpoint throw to third baseman Austin Knott, who tagged

out the Devil Rays runner to end the game.

Leading the Yankees’ offense was Austin Bagby, Brandon Kelly and Nico

Sauceda.

For the Devil Rays, Chat Pattison and Kyle Myres each went 4 for 4, while

Derek Amendola chipped in with three hits.

Helping the D-Rays with a solid all-around game was Ryan Crowe and Robert

Royster.
