AYSO Region 97: Black Magic wins in early playoff action

NEWPORT BEACH - The Black Magic, a girls under 14 team from AYSO Region 97 Division 3, won two games in Day 1 of the spring season

playoffs last weekend.

After defeating Rancho Santa Margarita, 1-0, the Black Magic knocked off

Belmont Shores, 1-0.

Kristin Jendursina scored the lone goal for the Black Magic in the first

game, while Lauren Curtis scored in the second contest.

The defense, strong in both contests, was led by Kelly Boler, Jenelle

Arnold, Dana Owad, Kim Hanley and Kara DeMille.

Helping the offense was Amanda Hoffenberg, Robin Senour, Ally Stoltz,

Casey Ibbetson, Tracey Cowie, Kimmy Miller, Victoria Swigart and Barbara

Jullian.
