Hurricanes, Thrashers tie one on

Ashleigh Wood scored off Sammy Lopez-hidalgo assist four seconds

into the final period Thursday to lift the Hurricanes into a 3-3 tie with

the Thrashers in Campbell Division action at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey

Center in Huntington Beach.

The goal was the first of the match for Wood, and the assist was

Lopez-hidalgo’s third overall as the Hurricanes held the Thrashers

scoreless in the third quarter after falling behind, 3-2.

Shane Durkan scored one goal, Cole Thormodsgaard scored once with an

assist, and goalie Daniel Ane stopped 17 shot attempts to lead the

Hurricanes.

Colby Rios, Conner Parks, and Destiny Mills all scored for the Thrashers,

while goalie D.J. Mihalik recorded 18 saves.
