NHBA Mustang: Cardinals take care of Angels

NEWPORT BEACH - There were plenty of hot bats to go around for the

Cardinals as they defeated the Angels, 14-9, in Newport Harbor Baseball

Association Mustang Division (9-10) action.

Maverick Medler, Jackson Massingill and Matt Bissonnette each had two

hits and two RBIs for the Cardinals.

The trio, along with Jason Loftus and Myles Christian led the Cards’

pitching, combining to strike out eight in the contest.

Darren Leggett also chipped in with a key hit and an RBI for the

Cardinals.

In other Mustang Division action:

Dodgers 17, Cardinals 8 - Matt Bissonnette had two hits and three RBIs to

lead the Cardinals in their game with the Dodgers.

Jackson Massingill and Robert Joslin each added two hits and two RBIs for

the Cards.

Giants 7, Cardinals 4 - Jackson Massingill and Myles Christian each had

two hits and two RBIs for the Cardinals in their contest with the Giants.

Strong pitching by the Giants held the Cards to only four hits.
