CM PONY: Diamondbacks edge Dodgers

COSTA MESA - The Costa Mesa Diamondbacks defeated the Corona del

Mar Dodgers, 8-7, last weekend in PONY Baseball action.

Ryan Gleason led the D-Back offense with two singles, two doubles and

four RBIs.

Caley-Ryan Carr, Corey McCartney and Justin Weisz each added key hits and

RBIs for the Diamondbacks.

On the mound, Cullen Crom pitched six strong innings and Adam Jorgensen

earned the save by pitching the seventh inning.

In other PONY baseball action:

Corona del Mar Mets 9, CM Indians 4 - The Indians lost, despite the hot

bats of Josh Elliott and Greg Hughes.

The two each clubbed two-run home runs, providing all the runs for the

Tribe.

Corona del Mar Reds 9, CM Marlins 4 - For the Marlins, Matt Stevenson led

the offense with three hits and two RBIs.
