four different events at the junior nationals last March.”

Athlete of the Week: Peirsol, a freshman helped the Sailors win the

400-yard freestyle (3:32.32), enabling the Tars to take second overall in

CIF Division I. She also was a strong leg on the third-place 200 medley

relay team (1:49.28). In individual events, Peirsol finished seventh in

both the 500 free (4:59.65) and the 200 IM (2:10.54).
