Reds tame Tigers, 14-6

The Reds held their first-place position in the Minor A Division

race Saturday by beating the Tigers, 14-6, in action at Ocean View Little

League.

Mickey Caldwell produced three hits and four RBI, Randy Guite had a pair

of hits, MJ Forsberg doubled and singled, Anthony Peralta had a double

and two RBI, and Jeff Wallace had two hits to lead the Reds.

In other games:

Red Sox 4, Brewers 3

TJ Israel delivered the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning

when his RBI single scored Tommy Greiner. Stephen Murray had two hits,

Justin Pack doubled among two hits, and pitcher Stephen Murray allowed

just one run in four innings for the Red Sox; Scott Baxter hit a home run

and double, had two RBI, and struck out five in three innings pitched for

the Brewers.

Rangers 17, Pirates 15

Brian Benac, Daniel Zawicki, Tyler Geery, Eric Puttock, and Bryan Van

Arsdale had key RBI hits for the Rangers; Daniel Williams had four hits

and James Miller singled twice for the Pirates.

MINOR B DIVISION

Rockies 9, Angels 6

Back-to-back home runs by Matt Secor and Tyler Cagle highlighted an

eight-run fourth inning by the Rockies.
