Late spurt gets Masters past Small Soldiers, 6-3

The Masters scored five goals over the final two periods Friday,

and then held off a late surge by the Small Soliders to pull out a 6-3

victory in Norris Division play at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in

Huntington Beach.

Bradley Brandenburg scored two goals, Chris Snapper scored once with two

assists, Jasa Denny scored once with an assist, and Cory Cunningham and

Trevor Horton both scored once to lead the Masters on offense.

Goalie Jamie Schlegel recorded 15 saves.

For the Small Soldiers, Jared Hackworth, and Ross Harper each scored

once, Matthew Seroka had an assist, and goalie Colten Daigneault stopped

23 shot attempts to pace the Small Soldiers.

Bulldogs 3, Stars 2

Allison Dufault scored two goals, Kyle Evans scored once, Lance Unrau had

an assist, and goalie Kevin Christi had 22 saves; Luke Hamagiwa scored

twice and goalie Kyle Bezayiff recorded 29 saves -- including 12 in the

first period alone -- to lead the Stars.

Blue Devils 3, Thunderblades 1

Justin Romers scored two goals, Hunter Herrick scored once, and goalie

Trevor McCourt stopped 20 shot attempts for the Blue Devils; Eric Grant

scored for the Thunderblades, and goalie Luke Gane had 22 saves.
