We asked people at a local shopping center what they are planning to

do on Memorial Day weekend.

Here’s what they had to say:

1. (2) “I’m going to Washington, D.C. to see my sister graduate from

law school at Georgetown University. I’m excited to see her, but I’d

rather hang out at the beach with my boyfriend. That is, if the weather

gets better.”

2. (3) “I’ll probably go down to the beach and do some roller-blading.

Maybe play some tennis. Then we will ride our bikes down to Studio Cafe

and watch some live music. Typical summer weekend.”

3. (5) “I’m a bartender at Rockin’ Baja Lobster and I’m sure it’s

going to be crazy. I’m sure we’ll stay home and barbecue on Monday. We

like to stay home on big weekends because it gets hectic. Too many drunk

people.”

4. (6) “I’m going to go see my daughter up in Lancaster and see my

grandchildren. She lives out in the desert where you can see the stars at

night. I miss my grandchildren. When you live so far away it’s tough.”

probably go to dinner Saturday night. I’ll probably just workout on

Monday.”
