Costa Mesa resident Wendy Jacobson was recently appointed as director of

information technology for El Pollo Loco. Jacobson will oversee computer

and communications. The chain operates 270 restaurants in California,

that Lee and Kathy Berman are this year’s recipients of the “Spirit of

Life” award. The couple were honored May 20 at the temple’s annual Gala
