NEWPORT BEACH - Tom Money pitched a complete-game one-hitter as the

Giants defeated the Yankees, 5-0, in the Newport Beach Little League

Majors Division Semifinals.

Money faced only 21 batters, striking out 15 in the win.

Zack Milder and Philip Bannan each reached base in the first inning and

later scored on a Michael Kordich double, giving the Giants the lead for

good.

Danny Hurst added an RBI single for the Giants and made a stellar

defensive play at third base.

For the Yankees, Michael Orozco pitched well and had the team’s only hit.

The championships for all NBLL divisions will be on Saturday at Lincoln

Elementary. The AA Division game will start at 9 a.m., the AAA game at

noon and the Majors game at 3 p.m.
