to serve a two-year term as a member of the California Senior

Stacy Sellons of Fountain Valley received the American Red Cross Courage

to Respond award for her quick response to a co-worker who stopped

breathing due to a seizure. Sellons was able to administer

cardiopulmonary resuscitation to save the life of her colleague ...

Melissa Potter, daughter of Duane and Carol Potter of Fountain Valley,

was named to the term honors list of Concordia University in Seward,

Neb., for the second semester of the 2000 academic year ... Sgt. Robert

C. Beckhart has been decorated with the Army Commendation medal.

Beckhart, a section leader, is assigned to the 1st Battalion , 506th

Infantry, Camp Greaves, South Korea. Beckhart is the son of Charles H.

and Edna I. Beckhart of Huntington Beach ... Brandon Blair Schneider, son

of Mr. and Mrs. H. Schneider of Huntington Harbour, received the REG

Robinson award for excellence from the Political Science Department of UC

Santa Barbara. Schneider has also been tapped for Phi Beta Kappa and the
