Sol Grill will hold a fund-raising event tonight for Costa Mesa resident

Bill Gorman, who has been battling bone cancer for 12 years.

Gorman, a 32-year-old bouncer and bartender, was diagnosed with cancer in

1988 and has undergone multiple surgeries.

The medical treatments have been expensive and friends have been rallying

to raise money for Gorman by holding events at local bars and

restaurants.

Tonight, Sol Grill owner Denise Puccinelli will donate 100% of the

evening’s proceeds toward Gorman’s mounting medical bills.

The event will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. at 110 McFadden Place, near

Newport Pier.
