Italy’s Frette is internationally known for having the finest linens for

bed, table and bath. Frette was founded in the 1850s when Edmond Frette

started a fabric company and soon began using the best fabric mills in

Italy. It didn’t take long for Frette to become the official linen

supplier to the royal family, and he was a pioneer in the direct-mail

clothing for work, home and leisure; lingerie; napery; toweling; sheets;

and pillowcases in the finest grade of Dutch and Irish linens -- all

through the book. Today, the company has 40 free-standing stores in

Beverly Hills. And Frette fabrics can be found on the Orient Express, on

the tables of the queen of Italy, the altars of St. Peters, on the best

ocean liners and in many of the world’s premier hotels. The Frette
