PET OF THE WEEK

Piper’s family is moving to China and she needs your help. She is a

brown-and-white springer spaniel with an adorable disposition. The family

will leave a $500 veterinarian package to ensure her health with your

local vet. If a home cannot be found, she will be put to sleep.

Funds are also needed to pay outstanding vet bills for Community

Animal Network animals previously cared for.

Update: Newport Beach Shelter dog Maggie finally got a home and is

doing well.

See other rescued dogs and cats each Saturday and Sunday from noon to

4 p.m. at Russo’s Pet Experience at Fashion Island, Newport Center Drive,
