Physical evidence at the scene of a Huntington Beach sexual assault

has linked the crime to a series of unsolved attacks in the Belmont Shore

area of Long Beach, said Lt. Chuck Thomas, a spokesman for the Huntington

Beach Police Department.

In June, a woman in her 60s was sexually attacked at her Huntington

Street home. The rapist entered the victim’s home through an unlocked

window, Thomas said.

Thomas said police connected the crime with the six Long Beach attacks

in part because of similar methods used by the man to sexually assault

the victim. The victims range in age 29 to 79.

The man is described as about 6 feet tall and between 30 to 35 years

old.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Huntington

Beach Police Department at (714) 375-5066.
