We asked OCC students: Will you watch the 2000 Olympic Games now that

Newport Beach swimming star Aaron Peirsol will be competing at Sydney,

1. I wasn’t really interested in any of the swim events until I heard

that locally based people will be competing. I’d like to see how they do.

2. I’m definitely going to be watching volleyball. I probably won’t

watch the swimming. But if I turn on the TV and it’s on, then I’ll

probably root for the guy. I’m supportive of the whole team.

3. Knowing now that there is a local swimmer, I’ll probably watch. I’m

excited and proud to know that someone so close is participating in such

a big event.
