Thrashers take Red Devils, 7-4
Destiny Mills accounted for three goals and two assists Wednesday
as the Thrashers recorded a 7-4 Norris Division victory over the Red
Devils at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Dean Neugebauer also scored twice and had a pair of assists, Richard
Rodeback and Dylan Verrastro scored once each, Conner Parks had an
assist, and goalie Kyle Bezayiff had 23 saves for the Thrashers.
Sean Wing and Steven Koressel both scored twice, Justin Romers, Cole
Bonanni, and Chad Morris each had an assist, and goalie D.J. Mihalik had
29 saves for the Red Devils.
In other games:
Roller Rebels 6, Small Soldiers 4
Blake Cooper and Kyle MacLeod both scored in overtime to get the
Roller Rebels past the Small Soldiers.
It was the third score of the contest for Cooper and the second for
MacLeod.
Also scoring for the winners was Cody McWhirter. Johnny Wilson and
Kevin Caskey each had an assist, and goalie Kyle Steinbrick recorded 22
saves.
Garrett Ono and Brandon Weiss both scored twice, Dylan Nelson had an
assist, and goalie Brian Daigneault had 20 saves for the Small Soldiers.
Lightning 6, Blackhawks 4
David Daley and John Dachroeden both scored twice, Garrett Haar and
Craig Landon each scored once, an goalie Kevin Christi had 23 saves for
the Lightning; Kyle Evans scored twice, Brad Giczewski scored once with
an assist, Rebecca Koppel scored once, and goalie Luke Hamagiwa recorded
32 saves for the Blackhawks.
Spitfires 6, Flyers 0
Goalie David Taylor recorded the shutout by stopping 26 shot attempts,
and the Spitfires’ offense consisted of the three goal scoring of Travis
Musacchio, the single goal scoring of Brock Ane, Griffen Gurzi, and
Jonathan Floren, three assists by Sean Easton, and a single assist by
Daniel Ane.
Flyers goalie Tyler Post had 19 saves.
