MILESTONES

Ralph and Mary Leon, of Costa Mesa, will celebrate their 60th wedding

anniversary today. The Leons, both 81, are inseparable and best friends,

said their 54-year-old daughter, Lupe Cleavinger.

They met in 1937, when Mary was not allowed to date. They courted for

three years and eloped to Yuma, Ariz.

Today they have two children, five grandchildren and six

great-grandchildren.

Both are in good health and walk an average of five miles a day. Ralph

loves gardening, good food and going fishing. Mary likes to sew, shop and

visit Las Vegas.

A luncheon will be held Saturday in their honor.
