Women’s soccer: Pirates split four at Cuesta Cup
SAN LUIS OBISPO - Needless to say, it was a total team effort for
the Orange Coast College women’s soccer team at the Cuesta Cup Saturday
and Sunday at Cuesta College.
Eight different Pirates scored Coast’s eight goals during the
four-game tournament. OCC split the four games, defeating College of the
Sequoias, 3-2, on Saturday and 5-0 over Canada on Sunday.
In the win over Canada, Lilly Lopez, Katie Ogden, Jill Jones, Blair
Sperry and Lauren McCoy each scored goals, while goalkeeper Laurie
Perkins had five saves to preserve the shutout.
OCC (5-3) will host Ventura today at 3 p.m. in a nonconference tilt.
