Hawks take command
The Hawks widened their lead in the Howe Division standings Tuesday
night by doubling up on the Wildcats, 6-3, in action at Coast 2 Coast
Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Kyle Yamaoka and Troy Bosiljevac each scored twice and assisted
another goal to lead the first place Hawks, who improved to 8-1 overall
and took a three-game lead in the division standings.
The winners also received a pair of goals from Kyle Bezayiff, an
assist from Kevin Danielson, and 16 saves from goalie Adam O’Connor.
For the second place Wildcats (5-4), Travis Geery scored twice, Jordan
John scored once, Andy Wissel had two assists, and goalie Andrew Orr had
14 saves.
In other games:
Kings 8, Atomic Pucks 7
Kyle Ross scored twice and also had a pair of assists, Jason Moore and
Cristina Castle each scored twice, Joe Murphy and Justin Holland each
scored once, and goalie Mikel Ehret had 24 saves as the Kings improved to
3-5-1.
Maxwell Igwe led the Atomic Pucks (4-4-1) with four goals and an
assist, Jake Fuller netted three goals, Kevin Powers and Armando Reyes
Jr. each had two assists, and goalie Christopher Torres had 21 saves.
Flyers 6, Lightning 6
Both teams scored twice in overtime to end in a tie.
Ross Turchi scored three goals, Adam Bosch scored twice, Bronson
Stoneback scored once, Corey Brown had an assist, and goalie Hunter
Golden had 25 saves for the Flyers (1-6-2).
Danny Gandasetiawan scored twice, Darryl Morita, Travis Sutton, and
Sean O’Donnell each had a goal and assist, and goalie Geoff Blaskey
stopped 17 shot attempts for the Lightning (3-4-2).
